About
Knowledge is power — and our grassroots movements need both.
That’s why the national Teach-In Network is launching now to provide resources for organizers on and off campuses — to educate and build movements for challenging what Martin Luther King Jr. called “the madness of militarism.”
We’re building a roster of dynamic expert speakers for on-the-ground or virtual teach-ins. And we can publicize events to people in your region among the more than 1 million online supporters of the RootsAction Network in the United States.
This site makes it easy for you to quickly tell the Teach-In Network what you’re planning and how we can help. And after you announce your teach-in or other public event, the Network will let others know how they can participate.
How it works
We’re here to help activists organize their own teach-in. We’ll provide you resources, guidance, and access to speakers — it’s up to you to plan, host, and execute your teach-in.
Here’s what the process looks like:
- Register for a Toolbox
- Receive an email from a Teach-In Network organizer with a toolbox and next steps.
- Make a plan and choose a date and time for your teach-in. Ask the organizer for guidnace if you need help!
- Work with the organizer to book speakers from our network of speakers. Organize one teach-in or make it an ongoing series!
- Host your Teach-in!
